Project Description: 

Al-Mobader/Venture Association is looking for an experienced and motivated Psychologist to join their team in Beddawi & Nahr El-Bared Camps. He/She will be an active member in BRAVE Project - Building Resilient and Vibrant Environments - that is being implemented by the Arab Resource Center for Popular Arts (ARCPA/AL-JANA) – as a Lead Organization – with the support of UNICEF. The project is being implemented all across Lebanon with 6 local sub-partners.  The objectives are:

  1.  To build the capacities and skills of children, youths, CSOs, and caregivers in marginalized societies in Lebanon.
  2. To promote tolerance and acceptance among host communities and all different communities residing in Lebanon.

BRAVE activities reach out to all regions through the active collaboration of the implementing partners and in cooperation with a network of organizations working among marginalized communities in Lebanon, mainly Palestinian camps and gatherings.

 

Organization profile: 

Al-Mobader- Venture Association was founded in 2017 under notification No. 252 of 2017, it is an extension of the Qadisiyah Group “Al Qadisyeh group Established in January 1970 is an extension of pushed the Scout Movement, which began in 1912 in Palestine”.

Al Mobader Association It’s a non-political, nonprofit association and it is a Local Society Association.

Al Mobader Association works in the field of culture, sports, education, scouts, and awareness work

We work with children, Adolescents, Youth, and Caregivers.

Description:

The psychologist is a core member of the healthcare and PSS team in Beddawi & Nahr El-Bared Palestinians Camps/North at Brave Project. He/she is responsible for the provision of all mental health services relevant to their scope of work and for providing psychological assessment and psychotherapy to community members in different locations including Palestinian camps and gatherings

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide structured clinical assessments and clear case formulation: Assess the needs of the beneficiaries on the cognitive, behavioral, emotional levels.
  • Use standardized assessment tools
  • Develop a consistent and acceptable treatment plan with clear objectives in relevance to the need assessment with a logical and consistent timeframe that includes estimated dates for case evaluation, closure, and post-support check-up.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the psychological progress of the client.
  • Maintain irreproachable levels of confidentiality.
  • Work directly with the social worker and the PSS coordinator to develop intervention plans and follow-ups at the home level.
  • Complete intake assessments, evaluations, treatment recommendations, reviews, and other documentation as necessary.
  • Report regularly to Venture’s PSS coordinator.
  • Participate in all internal and external meetings scheduled by the core PSS team or by the Lead partner.
  • Participate in all relevant internal training scheduled by the organization.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology.
  • Obtained a Lebanese colloquium certificate for clinical psychologists – or- Obtained a License to practice the clinical psychology profession from the Ministry of Public Health.
  • Specialized Training is a plus.
  • Fluent in spoken Arabic and have good knowledge of the English language.
  • Previous NGO experience is a plus.
  • Personal interest in educational and mental health issues.
  • Willing to adhere to clinical schedules.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, Patience, Trustworthiness, Empathy, Analytical Skills, and Critical thinking.
