The Clerk works as a team with caseworkers on each case file to ensure that the information and data contained in the file is up-to-date and ready for presentation to USCIS, according to required PRM standards and requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To review and prepare all refugee files to a high standard for USCIS interviews
- To ensure that all information and additional documentation is added to the file and compiled in the format that complies with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- To ensure all biometric information is in the refugee records.
- To comply with the data and information security standards.
- To receive incoming refugee inquiries and info and update refugee cases accordingly.
- To bring individual cases to Supervisors / Team Leaders’ attention when necessary.
- To coordinate with Unit’s Supervisors and USCIS Fingerprint Officer with fingerprinting of refugee applicants and record fingerprinting.
- To coordinate with Processing and QMDP units and ensure that the operational needs of the refugee processing program are met, and high standards of casework are maintained.
- To ensure that ICMC’s standards and PRM’s requirements are upheld at all times.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School or equivalent level
- Knowledge of English is a requirement.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications and typing skills.
- Knowledge of operating office equipment such as scanners, copiers, printers.
- Good understanding of US resettlement processes
- Previous NGO experience in a multi cultural environment is a plus.
- Teamwork and work independently, collaboration, supportive to other team members when working under pressure.
- Attention to detail and ability to adopt new procedures and guidance.
- Institutional or Organizational Awareness.
- Patience and compassion.
- Conduct work with the highest level of personal and professional integrity. Must comply with and actively promote ICMC's zero tolerance policy with regard to sexual exploitation and abuse, harassment, abuse of power, fraud and corruption in all of its activities and responsibilities.
