Senior Enumerators x8 - Remote (covering North and Bekaa) - National Candidates Only

Scope of work

The IRC ECD Lebanon research team is conducting an evaluation of its remote Early Childhood Education program. The evaluation will consist of an assessment tool that measures children’s early learning and development as well as surveys with caregivers and teachers. The data collection for the study’s baseline stage will take place in January and February 2022 and will cover children in the North and Bekaa. As such, the ECD program is hiring a number of enumerators and supervisors to be trained on the tools and to implement data collection remotely. The supervisors’ main role is to track the daily progress of enumerators, to capture the main developments and challenges that come up during data collection, and to support in data collection.

Deliverables:

  • Attend a training that covers the objectives of the study, the instruments and the data collection procedures, as well as research ethics compliance.
  • Daily tracking of enumerators’ daily targets and reporting to MER Officer.
  • Support in carrying out data collection as needed; this will consist of taking consent, scheduling times for remote data collection, and implementing the tool remotely over phone and WhatsApp.
  • Provide daily field reports to MER Officers during data collection.
  • Ensure high quality data collection for research purposes.
  • Follow ethical and informed consent procedures required for this study, including those for respondent privacy, data security and child safeguarding.
  • Capture and report on the challenges and learning opportunities experienced by enumerators with the purpose of improving the overall research process.
