Finance Officer

Plan and manage the overall financial flows and resources of SHEILD and oversee all accounting, controlling and planning activities to ensure the organization's financial viability and protect the funds granted by donors

• Manage and oversee annual budgeting process in line with approved policies 

• Oversee the development of financial analysis and produce assessment reports for financial performance of SHEILD and present to the Executive Director

• Prepare financial reports for management (e.g. bank reconciliation, accounts reconciliation, aging reports)

• Follow up on any new financial regulatory requirements and their impact on SHEILD's business operations

• Develop financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk

• Develop external relationships with relevant contacts including auditors, bankers and government organizations 

• Liaise with external audit companies to ensure annual audit is carried out

• Ensure all financial documents that are raised to top management are audited and accurate

• Prepare salaries for all SHEILD employees

• Prepare yearly depreciation schedule and update asset book value

• Record the accounting entries in the accounting system
