Graphic Designer

Mada produces yearly Factsheets to showcase its achievements for the year, key projects and pillars of work, donors, and partners. The Factsheet is for memory, fundraising, and visibility purposes.

JOB SUMMARY

The Graphic Designer will be in charge of the design of Mada’s 2021 Factsheet for both printing and electronic distribution. The Facthseet is a 3-4 page document summarizing the organizational mission and vision, projects and main pillars of work, achievements for the year, and donors/partners.

The Graphic Designer will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

• Work on content (text and visuals) with Mada and advise on sections to include.
• Propose designs to Mada, including size of the Factsheet, picture placement, colors (in line with Mada’s colors).
• Create animations if needed for illustrative purposes.
• Advise on printing material and support Mada to identify a supplier and obtain quotations for printing (200 copies).
• Ensure the design is in line with Mada’s other visibility material.
• Ensure a harmonized and consistent layout including fonts and visuals.

QUALIFICATIONS

• University Degree or Technical Degree in Graphic Designing
• Strong practical background in graphic design, including the use of design software such as Adobe Design Premium, In-Design, CorelDraw, web design tools such as Dreamweaver and Flash, etc.
• Show a clear and mature style of design, demonstrating an understanding of the communication requirements of Mada
• Proven experience of graphic production from start to published/printed product with knowledge of printing processes (offset and digital) and colour management
• Knowledge of standard software packages, including MS Office– MS Access–MS Visio – Adobe Acrobat;
• Working experience in development or humanitarian environment is desirable
