Under the supervision of the Programs Coordinator/SWSL president, the specific responsibilities will be as follows:
S/he will:
- Conduct a comprehensive review of the existing Focused Psychosocial Support (FPSS) curriculum/methods which are being provided remotely, for caregivers and children affected by COVID 19
- Review comments and recommendations made by the Social workers (SWs) to add new topics, include lesson plan, the best practices, facilities and tools to be used by the involved SWs working on field
- Develop effective induction plan by providing FPSS capacity building through training, practice mentoring and interactive approaches to strengthen SWSL team’s understanding and practice on providing FPSS for caregivers and children, enabling them to demonstrate best practice around PSS and GBV
- Share his/her expertise to support the Social Workers’ needs and requirements
Qualifications:
Required
- Demonstrate experience of having undertaken similar assignments
- Proven experience in psychosocial support in child protection or GBV
- Demonstrated experience in capacity development, mentoring and staff development
- Strong understanding of humanitarian protection principles and standards
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Exceptional problem solving skills and creative mindset
- Fluent in Arabic and English. French is a plus
