Education Project Manager

Project Management and Development:
•    Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of the related unit for management and implementation of their project, including procurement, project monitoring, and evaluation, financial management, progress, and financial reporting.
•    Supervise their project staff in the performance of their respective duties and ensure the efficient functioning of the project
•    Facilitate team building and cohesive working amongst team members
•    Ensure effective mainstreaming Protection mainstreaming in project design, implementation, and evaluation;
•    Develop SOPSs and tools for core sectors to mainstream beneficiary participation approaches throughout ADRA’s program
•    Prepare monthly progress reports – or as needed, and other reports that may be required by stakeholders
•    Provide direction and leadership in advocating project objectives and in ensuring that all interested parties are well informed about the project activities and goals.
•    Maintain project transparency and accountability within the project team and with donors
•    Lead the development of work plans, workshops, and periodical work sessions and meetings for the project team and hold orientation sessions for team members from the project and Protection sector to clarify the project's objective and methodology.
•    Assist in the development of the gender mainstreaming strategy and ensure the mainstreaming of gender into all project activities.
•    Must ensure establishment and maintenance of proper electronic and paper filing systems – including student information, grades, and referrals. 
•    Develop new project proposals related to Education and Child Protection, building on lessons learned, needs assessments, and coordination with key stakeholders
•    Represent ADRA in sector meetings, Sector-related working groups, and external relations

Finance:
•    To prepare and monitor all project budgets and finances in consultation with the Finance Department
•    To ensure payments are correct and on time 
•    To coordinate with the Finance and Administration team with regard to maintaining accurate financial records

Other:
•    The Project Manager will report directly to the Program Coordinator
•    Carry out any other relevant duties as requested by the Program Coordinator and/or Country Director

Person Specification:
•    Familiar with core principles of Children Rights, Participation, Do No Harm, Community, and Family Support as well as Education in Emergencies minimum standards (INEE);
•    At least three to four years of professional experience in a comparable role 
•    Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously 
•    Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, an engaging and confident personality, and enjoy dealing with a wide variety of people 
•    A thorough understanding of the non-formal education sector and the needs and challenges faced by students in Lebanon 
•    Punctuality in meeting deadlines

Qualities: 
•    Advanced degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, or other social science field is required
•    Fluent in Arabic, English, and knowledge in French is an asset
•    Previous experience in related jobs 
•    Punctuality in meeting deadlines
