Area Manager – Istanbul Branch

Area Manager Job Summary

Besme Group is looking for an Area Manager to oversee all operations, functions and activities. You will be the face of the organization, responsible for giving the proper strategic direction and implementing a high quality vision.

The area manager should has great communication skills and take a holistic approach in managing the organization’s operations.

The goal is to manage and lead the organization towards the realization of its mission, vision and goals.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies and plans based on the organization’s mission, vision and goals
  • Implement strategic business plans for the attainment of goals and objectives set by the General Manager and board of directors
  • Liaise with senior-level officers to coordinate and report on ongoing issues
  • Manage day-to-day operations within the organization
  • Providing guidance coaching to the board of directors
  • Ensure adherence of the organization’s daily activities and long-term plans to established policies and legal guidelines
  • Direct and oversee investments and fundraising efforts and calls
  • Forge and maintain relations of trust with shareholders, partners and external authorities
  • Devise remedial actions for any identified issues and conduct crisis management when necessary
  • Create reports and presentations to give to the board of directors
  • Write monthly and annual reports
  • Collaborate with the board of Directors to identify, create and implement strategic plans to actualize business objectives.
  • Monitor company operations and ensure business practices comply with regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Develop the organizational culture and promote transparency and collaboration throughout the organization.
  • Work closely with board of directors and committees, informing, assessing, and addressing issues that affect the organization.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the organization, providing executive direction of all program strategy, compliance, quality assurance, and program efficiency.
  • Work with staff and board, and oversee all external communication materials including, website, marketing materials and social media content.
  • Search and write concept notes and proposals .

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field
  • Proven experience in  managerial position
  • 3 - 5 years of management experience, preferably with a nonprofit
  • Strong public relations, marketing, and fundraising experience
  • Knowledge of management principles related to nonprofits
  • Proven success working with a board of directors
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with innovative approach to nonprofit organization planning
  • In depth knowledge of how the organization operates

Language

  • Fluency in oral and written English and Arabic, Turkish language is a must

Working Hours:  Fulltime (Monday till Friday).
