Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Programme Associate or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the national UN Volunteer (Field Monitoring Assistant) will:
- Collect, sort and disseminate correspondence, reports and other material to meet the required demands of staff to time standards;
- Respond to routine queries received and escalate where appropriate, to provide a timely and accurate service to the beneficiaries;
- Contribute to the production of Monitoring and Evaluation documents, such as standard reports and correspondence, to contribute to the accuracy of written information developed by the unit.
- Provide a set of standard business support activities, where required, to contribute to the effective functioning of Monitoring and Evaluation operations;
- Make distribution arrangements and support Phone calls, assessments, validation etc., to support Field Office work effectively;
- Support in managing the Monitoring and evaluation section files, documents related to the field operations, and records in accordance with established systems and processes so that information is current and readily available;
- Collect monitoring information and undertake standard data entry tasks in accordance with defined systems, to ensure information is organized and readily available for the business team.
- Prepare field mission reports to document programme implementation;
- Follow set Food assistance response processes and procedures for refugees and NPTP programmes;
- Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

• Bachelor’s degree in education, social sciences, economy, nutrition, agriculture or other related fields is a plus;
• At least two (2) years of progressively responsible experience with at least one (1) year experience in the fields of education, humanitarian assistance, economy, nutrition, agriculture, refugee operation or other related fields;
• Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills;
• Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing;
• Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development;
• Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel;
• Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment;
• Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines;
• Sound security awareness;
• Have affinity with or interest in working with municipalities, volunteerism as a mechanism for durable development, and the UN System.
