Project Description: 

In a partnership with Arche Nova and funded by BMZ (The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development), Mada is launching a 48 months livelihoods. project in North Lebanon and Akkar.

The Overall Objective of the project is to 'strengthen the resilience of Syrian refugees and Lebanese host communities in northern Lebanon to the consequences of the country's socio-economic crisis by promoting food and income security, rehabilitating water-related and agricultural infrastructure, trainings, initial household equipment, and health improvement'.

Goal/Purpose of Job:

The Enumerator will support in the preparation and assessment phases of the project and will be in charge of data collection on agriculture and infrastructure from different parties and actors across the agricultural value chain.

The Enumerator reports directly to the Field Officers and works on a daily basis based on request.

List of main tasks:

• Contact the head of union of municipalities and municipalities in order to collect data regarding the irrigation systems and infrastructure priority, population, farmers and others.
• Conduct phone surveys to verify the collected information
• Conduct phone calls and rapid assessments when necessary
• Support in the detailed assessment and conduct field visits to fill surveys with farmers and dairy producers in order to collect data in 20 different villages
• Support in the management of collected data and participation in the scoring system when needed
• Provide the field officers with daily updates on the process.

Knowledge and Skills

• • Full adherence to Mada’s mission and vision, as well as Ethics code
  • Previous experience in data collection is a plus
  • A degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, or related disciplines is a plus
  • Good organizational, coordination and time-management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic; French is a plus.
  • Experience working in North Lebanon
  • Proactive, flexible and dynamic.
  • Have a car and driving license
