Shadda Media Lab is a media platform and a shared working space for media producers in Tripoli. 

Shadda was established at Shift Social Innovation Hub with the contribution of a group of youth, with the aim of promoting peace and positivity through informative, entertaining, and realistic content.

Shadda is the first media lab to offer its services directly to marginalized communities in the areas in Tripoli. Shadda also provides a safe space for workshop and content creation, in addition to providing the basic equipment for content creation for every young man and woman with the passion to create meaningful innovative content. 

Job Description

We are looking for a professional and creative trainer in Filming, Lighting, and Sound recording. The trainer will be facilitating “How to film proper social media videos” training to a group of 25 individuals for 3 full days, including providing support for the team to develop advanced experience in the different methods of social media filming. The aim of the training is to improve their social media content that will be posted to our platform on social media.

The trainer will focus on developing and conducting training for the participants to better understand storytelling. And acknowledge the importance of maintaining a well-designed script compatible with the trainees aims.

As a facilitator, you will be surrounded by academic and amateur participants, from different cultural backgrounds, who have a humble media experience. We expect that you are familiar with the essence of the content, to be interactive in delivering the training and to present the practical side.

The ideal candidate should possess relevant experience and knowledge of the strengths of the new media platforms. He/she must be a highly motivated individual with experience and passion for content making and marketing.

Responsibilities

• Teaching and supporting the team in upgrading filming techniques.
• Getting familiar with the projects being prepared to plan the content accordingly.
• Delivering the training in an interactive way and focusing on the practical side.
• Being familiar with the action plan and planned trainings.
• Creating your vision about the expected results and the goal of the project.
• Coordinating the follow up with our mentor.
• Taking in consideration the team's capabilities, available materials, and logistics.

Qualifications

• Certifications and experience in Filming, Lighting & Sound recording.
• Possession of a degree in a relevant field.
• Strong facilitation and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Conflict Sensitivity Training is an Asset.
• Experience in conducting trainings.
• Excellent social and personal relationships.
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
• Excellent English technical words knowledge.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in similar specialization.
• Experience and ability to deal with unexpected challenges.
• Wide vision about the effective social media filming work.
• High comfort level with social media platforms such as:  Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.
