Accreditation Officer

 

  • Plan and oversee the functions of quality improvement plan, audits, performance improvement and standards of Canadian accreditation.
  • Provide support to staff and health workers to facilitate and achieve daily quality improvement functions.
  • Evaluate current procedures and practices for accomplishing the assigned work functions objectives to develop and implement improved procedures and practices and to ensure compliance with required standards.
  • Review and update the primary health care center’s internal policies and develop clinical care guidelines or management policies when needed, as per Canadian accreditation and Ministry of Public Health’s standards.
  • Review, synthesize and analyze activity reports, records and indicators against certain quality or numerical targets.
  • When necessary, contact with organizations or consultants (MoPH, etc..) for direction/advice on complex compliance issues.
  • Track deadlines for all regulatory/accreditation activities, and assure all responses are on target to meet deadline.
  • Obtain data such as status of work in progress, problems encountered, numbers reached required for planning work function activities.
  • Verify data to be submitted in accordance with government program requirements and ensure compliance with Canadian accreditation certification requirements.
  • Document all accreditation activities (staff trainings, audit dates, policies and human resources files, etc…) and report to the management and to the accrediting parties when requested.

Bachelor’s degree in health related field. Supervisory experience in a healthcare environment preferred, with experience in quality improvement and control.
License/Certification: Certified Professional in Healthcare or quality improvement certification or an equivalent in quality control certification preferred.
