Social Protection Assistant-12 month project

The main purpose of this position is to support the DG of MoSA in procedural, administrative, operational and coordination tasks in relation to the timely and effective delivery of the social protection agenda:

  • Act as the key focal point in relation to social protection issues, in particular on matters related to the National Social Protection Strategy and the new National Disability Allowance
  • Follow up and coordination with relevant stakeholders involved in social protection, namely development partners including World Bank and European Union, UN agencies and the newly formed Technical Steering Committee appointed by the Prime Minister to follow up on the Social Protection Strategy
  • Arrange relevant meetings, workshops and training courses to be held at MoSA, follow up on action plans, coordinate conferences, and provide support in making the necessary logistical arrangements.
  • Take minutes of meetings, and compile data and information on subject matters relevant to the work of the DG’s office to facilitate preparation of reports, working papers, and presentations. 
  • Maintain scheduling and event calendars of the DG’s office including managing the daily/weekly/monthly agenda and scheduling of new meetings and appointments in relation to Social Protection matters.
  • Answer calls, take messages, and prepare and disseminate correspondence, memos and forms in line with established protocols and processes of MoSA and the Government of Lebanon.
  • File and update contact information of and liaise with MoSA’s partners as well as relevant organizations and NGOs.
  • Print, prepare and distribute papers and documents for meetings.
  • Develop and maintain a filing system for records, correspondence, and other materials.

Completion of secondary education; supplemented by technical or university courses related to the work of the ministry.

Years of experience:
- Have minimum of 3 years of experience in professional administration with preferable knowledge and experiences in working in public administration or similar environment.
- Have experience of working closely with and provision of administrative support to senior government officials and/or managers.
