World Learning – QITABI 2: Motion Graphic Designer Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement” QITABI 2 Program Background USAID’s “Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement” (QITABI 2) is a five-year program seeking to improve learning outcomes for all students in public primary schools in Lebanon. Its activity targets an estimated 200,000 girls and boys, including those who are registered in second shifts of public schools. World Learning has an immediate vacancy for its Beirut-based “Motion Graphic Designer” for the USAID-funded Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement (QITABI II) in Lebanon. This position is for a Lebanese national. Scope and Responsibilities The main tasks will include: • Create and produce multimedia material (videos and animations) for online content and digital learning objects (DLOs). • Create animations from storyboards/sketches or from a brief from the Instructional Designer using software such as Adobe After Effect, Photoshop, Illustrator, and the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite. • Develop/implement storyboards for the initial stages of production; Create models, drawings, and illustrations by hand or electronically; Join images with background graphics and special effects; Ensure synchronization of frames and audio. • Convert audio, video, graphics and digital animation and other digital media content into various distributable formats. • Provide one-on-one (both face-to-face and online) consultations to team members and stakeholders in aim of exploring possibilities and constructing content. • Archive the output according to QITABI 2 storage and archiving standards. • Work in close collaboration with the QITABI 2 Communications Unit. • Maintain branding of all the produced material in line with the QITABI 2 branding and marking strategy approved by USAID. • Other tasks as requested by supervisor and QITABI 2 management. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BS), or Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) program in this field or a related discipline. Master’s degree is a plus. • 5+ years of relevant experience, supported by a portfolio. • Excellent knowledge of Adobe After Effects and its use in producing animations and animated infographics. • Background in Education is a plus. • Good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. • Good knowledge of Adobe Audition or Audacity. • Proficiency in Color grading. • Artistic vision with advanced graphic design and typography skills coupled with the ability to weave a meaningful and compelling story. • Exceptional communication and persuasion skills and ability to work individually and within a team in a professional manner. • Ability to edit materials from a culturally sensitive perspective. • Self-motivated, highly organized, collaborative, and able to create in a fast-paced and challenging environment. • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet tight deadlines. • Must have a positive attitude and be a team player.
