About the USAID-Funded Community Support Program (CSP) in Lebanon:
USAID’s Community Support Program is designed to improve the delivery of essential services and enhance economic opportunities, primarily in Lebanon’s North, South, and Beqaa regions. Through its support of municipalities and underserved and vulnerable communities, CSP aims to improve lives and reduce tensions that contribute to conflict and violence in the country.
Description of Intervention:
CSP is soliciting proposals from eligible companies in the construction and water/wastewater treatment industries for “Construction of Borj Rahhal Wastewater Pumping Station and Force Main, and Construction of a main trunk sewer located in the Lower Litani river basin”.
The overall objective of the intervention aims to mitigate health hazards by eliminating pollution caused to the Litani river by the uncontrolled discharge of the untreated wastewater generated from neighboring villages. In order to mitigate the environmental hazards, the construction of a main collector (Lower Litani Trunk Sewer) and a pumping station (Borj Rahhal WWPS) with its force main, along with all the necessary connections and extension as specified in the RFP, will be required to convey the Wastewater generated from neighboring villages to the existing Wastewater Treatment Plant located in Chabriha – Tyre.
Interested eligible firm/organizations may request the Request for Proposals (RFP) documents by sending an email to cspprocurement@lebanoncsp.org with "TO5-22-008 – Construction of Borj Rahhal WWPS and LLTS” in the email subject line.
