The Nawaya Network is an NGO based in Beirut, Lebanon that develops the income-generating opportunities of youth through entrepreneurship, employability, and economic development programs. We currently have at least six ongoing programs across the country with various partners. We are seeking an HR Officer to coordinate all tasks related to HR for the various programs, for up to 50 staff.
The responsibilities of this position include:
- Actively coordinates with Top Management on all Strategic Aspects pertaining to Human Resources
- Develops (or reviews) the Contracts of All Staff (current and new) based on a consultancy agreement (standardized format) that consists of the Cost Allocation given per program per consultant
- Organizes all the staff filing while implementing the auditors requirement based on the findings shared by internal and external entities (auditors/ donors)
- Ensures the 1st Review of all the Job Descriptions/JD (based on the standardized format developed) of staff in the process of being recruited which will be communicated to Top Management for their final review within the agreed upon timeline i.e. Deadline to be respected by the HR Officer.
- Ensures the implementation of the Performance Appraisals (PA) on a yearly basis that are to be conducted by manager/coordinator for their respective teans and by Top Management for the manager/coordinator/senior officer and implements the proper filing of the PAs in that regard
- Posts the vacancy on Daleel Madani and establishes an effecitve screening of job applications
- Coordinates with the Deputy Director on the update of the Organizational Chart
- Fills the Interview Assessment Sheet of each job position that needs to be recruited based on the standardized format developed
- Schedules 1st Round of Interviews with shortlisted candidates and ensures the concerned program staff is present in the 1st round of interviews
- Schedules the Last Round of Interviews with shortlisted candidates with Top Management ( Deputy Director and/or Director) and ensures an effective follow up in that regard
- Relays to Top Management the important staffing issues that needs immediate attention based on Program Donors requirements
- Ensures the implementation of the HR Recruitment Process
- Implements any HR Tasks that will be requested by Top Management
- Respects the lines of authority provided by Top Management and makes sure to ensure a participatory approach with Top Management for a Final Decision to be made by the Latter ( Deputy Director / Director) before being diffused to program staff
