Project Name: Challenging Stereotypes, Providing Services, Convening, and Advocating: A multi-layer approach to promote LGBTQ rights in Lebanon

Subject: Hire an external consultant to facilitate a roundtable, and a networking event focused on LGBTQI rights and issues.

Background

As part of an EU-funded project entitled “Challenging Stereotypes, Providing Services, Convening and Advocating: A Multi-Layered Approach to Promoting LGBTQ Rights in Lebanon”, during 2021, Oxfam produced descriptive research on issues of LGBTQI rights and is currently in the process of producing two policy briefs that unpack issues of Housing and Mental Health affecting the Queer community in Lebanon.

Purpose:

Following the production of the policy briefs, Oxfam GB aims to conduct a validation workshop to  review and validate the findings of the policy briefs and unpack the generated recommendations and their respective dissemination plan

Furthermore, Oxfam GB will conduct one roundtable discussion and a networking event to mobilise efforts and build consensus around issues affecting LGBTQI rights and access to services, with particular emphasis on Housing and Mental Health. These advocacy efforts will involve key actors at the national and local levels, including representatives on behalf of the LGBTQI community, rights-based and like-minded organisations, representatives on behalf of the European Union, etc.

With that being said, Oxfam GB is seeking a qualified facilitator to facilitate both events during the second and third weeks of March 2022.

  • Build synergies between the different participating organisations
