JoB Purpose

The data collectors will be working in the field of Oxfam’s area of coverage to collect specific information that feed into Oxfam’s reporting.

key Responsibilities

Scope of work

The enumerator is expected to:

  1. Meet with Oxfam to discuss the details of the assignment.
  2. Attend a training session ahead of the data collection exercise.
  3. Conduct surveys as discussed with Oxfam’s team and per the provided workplan.
  4. Comply with the sampling methodology for the data collection.
  5. Refer to Oxfam with any inquiries during the data collection process.
  6. Track feedback received from the field and share them with the MEAL team.
  7. Adhere to Oxfam’s code of conduct and data protection policies at all times.

  • Required to adhere to Oxfam’s principles and values as well as the promotion of gender justice and women's rights
  • Understanding of and commitment to adhere to equity, diversity, gender, child safety and staff health and wellbeing principles

Essential

 

  1. Education:
  • University degree completed or in progress
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.

 

  1. Experience and competencies:

 

  • Previous experience with data collection.
  • Knowledge on how to use tablets for data collection.
  • Previous relevant experience with Lebanese NGOs, International NGOs, UN agencies, International Organizations.
  • Excellent communication skills in Arabic.
  • Experience in working with refugees.
  • Friendly and positive attitude; strong problem-solving skills.

 

 

Desirable

 

  • Experience in WASH, protection, and livelihood sectors

  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and gender issues, as well as the commitment to equal opportunities
  • Ability to demonstrate an openness and willingness to learn about the application of gender/gender mainstreaming, women’s rights, and diversity for all aspects of development work
