Marketing trainer - SME GTM Workshop – DAWERR Clearinghouse Bootcamp

Context & Background  

 

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.  

 

Under the DAWERR activity funded by USAID, Berytech will organize an innovation challenge and invite SMEs and established startups to participate in the competition to develop a digital marketplace “the clearinghouse” for recyclables.

 

The Digital Clearinghouse Marketplace (the Clearinghouse) will be a digital virtual marketplace for source-separated recyclables, matching buyers and sellers while ensuring transparency across the solid waste Recycling Value Chains (RVCs). 

The goal of the platform is to: 

  • Facilitate the trade between buyers and sellers of recyclables. 
  • Increase access to markets, raw materials, and fair prices. 
    • Reduce transportation distances and costs, and eventually increase the price of recyclables. 

 

3 ventures (at least 2 participants per venture) are taking part in a 3-month incubation program to develop the project plan and pitch it in front of a jury. They will be able to shape a concept for a new solution that could be integrated into their enterprise’s business offering or build on a prototype they have already started. At the end of the program, only one venture will be selected to receive a grant and develop the business.

 

Scope of work 

The DAWERR Activity team seeks a Marketing Trainer (we are targeting independent trainers/freelancers only) to address the following:

Agenda Workshop

  • Define your Pricing and your brand positioning
  • Define your channels and marketing strategy (online and offline)
  • Soft Launch and how to promote your marketplace before its official launch
  • Share top promotional strategies to launch online marketplace business
  • How to create your marketing campaigns (from great content to defining and measuring results)
  • Most effective tools and methods for growth during and after your public launch

Workshop Details 

  • Workshop length is up to 6hours divided into 2 sessions followed by 2x 1-1 clinic sessions with each venture to give feedback on their GTM strategy
  • Feedback 1-1 sessions will be led by the trainer to cover the 3 ventures
  • Sessions are expected to be highly interactive, customized to the scope of the project

 

Expected Deliverables  

Key Deliverables: 

  • PowerPoint Presentation for the workshop 
  • Tools & templates to support the entrepreneurs 
  • 3 feedback documents (one per venture) for Berytech’s Management on the ventures’ outputs and improvement points (following the clinics) 

 

Qualifications  

  • Experience as a Marketing Trainer with SMEs working in waste preferably
  • Possess strong marketing knowledge and skills around marketplaces
  • Desire to deeply understand and empathize with the ventures profile The workshop content should be adapted to a marketplace business. Examples and case studies on the waste marketplaces should be presented during the sessions.

Expert trainers will be selected based on: 

  • Expert bio, proven track records and experience in the required field 
  • Budget scope
