M&E Assistant

Basmeh & Zeitooneh is a registered Lebanese organization, committed to serving refugees and vulnerable communities in Lebanon, through four community centers across the country. The organization runs educational, relief, livelihoods, and protection programs, and aims to serve as an inclusive and supportive focal point for the entire community.

Job Purpose : 

The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant at Basmeh and Zeitooneh will work to develop results-based frameworks, as well as monitoring of the quality of the programs\ projects.

She/he will be responsible for communicating M&E information, collecting data from the field, follow up on activities and reporting.

Major Activities :

• Implementation of the Monitoring and Evaluation plan 
• Conduct day-to-day monitoring to assess overall performance and achievements.
• Provide timely feedback on tools and templates
• To provide weekly or monthly reports as needed or requested by the M&E Manager/ supervisor/ officer
• Assist in designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks for proposed projects.
• Develops a process and tools for data collection, analysis, and reporting for project staff.
• Collection of data through the creation of surveys, as well as organizing focus groups, interviews, and field visits with beneficiaries or target communities, that respond to indicators and M&E plans.
• Ensure all data is uploaded each day 
• To clean the data that is collected each day
• Ensure quality data collected from the field
• Receive complaints and feedback from beneficiaries

Key Performance Indicators: 

• Monitoring and Evaluation tools are designed and used.
•  Project\program team is aware of the M&E requirements and tools.
•  Quality of the project\program is tracked and reported. (targets, implementation, goal).
• A project overview report is produced.
• Problems solved with effectiveness.
• Participate actively in M&E unit meeting

Education & Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Business or Public, Data management.
• Administration or another related social science field.
• MBA is a plus.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in implementing monitoring and evaluation tools in non-governmental organizations.
