Warehouse Supervisor

Main purpose:

Planning and supervising the execution of the Warehouse and Stock Management activities in the project or capital according to Anera protocols and standards in order to ensure the optimal functioning of the mission

Accountabilities:

  • Planning and supervising on a day-to-day basis the Warehouse and Stock Management activities in the project ensuring compliance of Anera standards, protocols and procedures. These activities include but are not limited to the following: 
  1. Physically and administratively managing Food stocks in conjunction with the supply director and the stock owners and assuming responsibility for the warehouse and its contents
  2. Ensuring that all necessary tools and management procedures are in place in order to avoid stock ruptures, losses (expiries, damages due to bad storage conditions, temperature breach) and excess stocks. Regularly checking inventory levels (physical counts), keeping inventories up to date and monitoring consumption
  3. Checking, recording and arranging the goods received and ensuring the availability of a wide range of items for various projects and departments
  4. Ensuring that all items are well organized and correctly stored according to their specificity, well protected, fully identified and easily accessible (cleanliness, security, access, etc.)
  5. Maintaining quality control and appropriate storage in compliance with WFP standards 
  • Supervising the team under his/her responsibility including the definition and planning of each person's tasks (daily supervision and checking the quality of their work); drawing up working schedule and organizing and leading team meetings
  • Reporting and proposing reactive measures to the Project Manager whenever it’s detected any breaches of protocols or any other issues related to the warehouse.
  • Ensuring monitoring of expiry dates and take responsibility to inform the Project Manager when needed.
  • Coordinate the transport, receipt and storage of Food parcels in the designated warehouses.
  • Ensure that the commodities that are dispatched from the warehouse to the distribution locations are handled with high management and accountability levels in compliance with all Anera and other international standards to avoid losses
  • Ensure the accurate and timely reporting of all inventory associated with distributions
  • Safety and Security responsibilities
  • Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture
  • Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager
