Outreach Worker- KAFA

Scope of work:

The outreach volunteer will work with Kafa’s Anti-Trafficking Unit to conduct outreach activities with women migrant domestic workers (WMDWs) in different areas, with a focus on those who are hard to reach. The outreach volunteer will build positive relationships with migrant women community groups and leaders, assess work needs, and mobilize and support them in community led-solutions. 

Main Tasks and Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

• Disseminate information to WMDWs about services available and how to access them namely legal assistance, access to safe shelter, cash assistance, psycho-social services, and voluntary safe return assistance;
• Distribute informational materials and conduct information sessions with WMDWs in different geographical areas;
• Monitor, assess, report incidents and emergencies among WMDWs such as evictions, arrests/detention, and others
• Conduct a rapid needs assessment with WMDWs to identify their needs;
• Refer WMDWs to services including those who are facing protection risks and incidents to specialized case management services
• Mobilize women migrant domestic workers leaders/groups to address certain protection issues and support community-led solutions 
• Develop and sustain positive relationships with community members;
• Maintain a record of all activities conducted and prepare progress reports.
•  Required Qualifications :

1. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Animation, Psychology, or any other equivalent university qualifications.
2. Knowledge in the situation of Domestic Workers in Lebanon. 
3. Experience in facilitating and leading community-based workshops and activities, especially with disadvantaged groups;
4. At least 2 years of experience in outreach work is required
5. Excellent communication skills ; Fluent in English, French and Arabic (speaking and writing).
6. Strong Presentation and Interpersonal skills with a good relationship building skills.
7. Good organizational and documentation management skills
8. Good knowledge of all Microsoft Office tools, as well as data management
9.  Good Animation Skills (photography, design, videos, etc);
10. Demonstrated commitment to women’s rights, and equality and non-discrimination; 
11. Location: Greater Beirut with field trips to different regions in Lebanon
