Subject: Request for translators.

 

Background

 

As part of an EU-funded project entitled “Challenging Stereotypes, Providing Services, Convening and Advocating: A Multi-Layered Approach to Promoting LGBTQ Rights in Lebanon”, during 2021, Oxfam produced a number of research, policy products, guides and presentation to support the policy influencing efforts.

Objective

Oxfam is looking for a qualified and experienced translator to translate a number of materials and products including an approximate of 15,200 words from English to Arabic.

Consultancy duties and responsibilities

 

The translator’s main responsibility will be to translate and edit the documents mentioned from English to Arabic within specified deadlines.

 

Qualifications and required expertise

Position Qualification & Skills Requirements:

• BA in translation or literature or any other relevant field.
• Strong experience working with NGOs, especially on advocacy topics.
• Fluency in Arabic and English
• Can deliver on time.
• Excellent writing skills
