Job Summary
The Communications Officer develops, oversees and manages the day-to-day external and internal communication of Ruwwad, Tripoli, ensuring consistency in internal and external messaging, social media policies, short-term projects and direct and indirect communication with the immediate community and the country at large. The purpose is to support Ruwwad Al-Tanmeya Organization’s vision, mission, strategic presence, and priorities.
Job Description:
Develop and oversee the day-to-day management of the communication strategy and tactics of Ruwwad Tripoli, in coordination with the Regional Director and Regional Senior Advisor for Communication and Strategy to ensure consistency across the Ruwwad’s.
Devise and ensure the proper implementation of content creation policy across platforms and programs.
Manage Communication channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Email newsletter, website). Collaborate with the Communication Department of Ruwwad, Amman, where relevant, to maintain consistency of messaging, visual and written, across the region’s Ruwwads.
Oversee Ruwwad’s media policy.
Benchmark, audit and optimize Ruwwad’s internal and external communication tools.
Build a Gallery Archive for Ruwwad Lebanon, including all previous photos, videos, articles, Stories, logs, database lists of key milestones.
Establish the grounds for digital archive, streamline & organize.
Build Ruwwad’s Visual guidelines (photography and videography guidelines) and ensure consistency in implementation of guidelines.
Provide trainings whenever needed (to Management, Recruits and Volunteers)
Mitigate/handle all unplanned events and force-majeurs
Establish databases built from past records (volunteers, invitees, etc...)
Support the enhancement of website content for the four Ruwwads in coordination with the Regional Director and Regional Support Unit based in Jordan.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bsc./equivalent in communication, graphic design, or other related field. An MBA/Masters’ degree an advantage
At least 3 year’s relevant work experience
Sound knowledge of basic graphic design, photography and videography practices
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Adobe Lightroom
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Solid project management skills
Team management experience, including people development and KPI setting
Competencies and Skills:
Be able to organize media campaigns and delegate replacements
Ability to train and give workshops
Ability to spot misalignments in file naming and archiving
Adobe Creative Suits, specifically Lightroom and Premiere
