Youth Field Officer / Trainer

MAIN DUTIES

 

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement BRAVE activities following ARCPA’s procedures and the set methodologies.
  • Work closely with coordinators and officers and TVET Centers to ensure quality implementation of the activities.
  • Collaborate with the project team and facilitate data collection and validation through different tools (database, focus group discussion, surveys, and others).
  • Support youth to develop their capacities on the professional and interpersonal levels with a focus on employability and entrepreneurship
  • Conduct relevant research and provide technical expertise to support the program.
  • Support the implementation of awareness-raising sessions and campaigns.
  • Support the implementation of Psycho-Social Support Program Components, in coordination with the PSS team.
  • Support outreach to the children, youth, and caregivers and encourage them to participate in activities organized in the area

Training

  • Support and deliver employability and entrepreneurship skills training workshops following a preset curriculum
  • Deliver life skills training

Administration

  • Support the centers’ development in terms of activities.
  • Handle and follow-up on all administrative work related to work in Tripoli including the development of action plans, reporting (monthly and quarterly), and expenditure management
  • Facilitate the implementation of project-related training workshops for staff and volunteers 
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of activities in the project’s implementation.
  • Monitor, visit and implement project activities in Beirut, Saida, Ein El-Helweh, and Tyre for two to three days a week
  • Provide lessons learned from the field and suggest improvements regarding the activities’ implementation
  • Participate in project meetings/working groups at field level and provide regular feedback
  • Support correspondence with partners, in cooperation with the Programmes Coordinator
  • Represent ARCPA in related events
  • Perform other job-related tasks as requested by the supervisor 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Technical

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, social science or equivalent degree
  • A minimum of 2 years experience
  • Knowledge in entrepreneurship and employability skills such as business plans, SWOT analysis, interview skills and others.

Interpersonal

  • Fluent in Arabic and English
  • Coaching and mentorship skills
  • Team player with the ability to deliver information to different age groups
  • Excellent reporting skills
  • Able to work under pressure

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • The incumbent is required to work 6 days a week
  • Working hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the winter season and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the summer season
