Food Drive Officer

Tasks:

  • Conduct basic assessments with individuals referred by the services and protection department as well as other LGBTQI+ individuals who request this service using provided tools.
  • Clean and process data collected to determine the eligibility of applicants for this service.
  • Coordination with key stakeholders (applicants, suppliers, etc.) for food parcels distribution within said timeline.
  • Oversee all logistics, distribution, communication, monitoring, and implementation aspects of the food drive.
  • Complete and acquire all necessary forms and documents for financial management purposes.
  • Generate and deliver a record sheet for beneficiaries of this food drive.
  • Generate and deliver a comprehensive narrative report for this project upon its completion including all necessary and relevant data pertaining to the process, outcomes, and beneficiaries of this food drive.
  • Identify and relay any feedback, complaints, suggestions, perceived opportunities, threats, or challenges gathered during the food drive to relevant colleagues.
  • Attend relevant meetings and training sessions.
  • Adhere to a working schedule mutually agreed upon by the Employer and Employee subject to change with mutual agreement of both parties.

 

Education and work experience:

  • Studies in relation to the humanitarian and non-profit field of work, human and social sciences, etc.
  • At least one year of prior professional experience working in the humanitarian or service provision sector.
  • Knowledge of or experience working with the LGBTQI community and familiarity with issues of relevance to LGBTQI individuals and communities.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with diverse communities.
  • Excellent management, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and fluency in English and Arabic.
  • Problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Ability to maintain the strictest levels of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Strong computer literacy is required in MS Office (Microsoft Word and Excel).
