Communication Assistant

Purpose

The communication assistant is responsible for the publishing of Legal Agenda’s content on its platforms, including its website and social media channels. S/he is also responsible for assisting in coordinating the production of communication material. S/he uses several tools to organize production and publishing and to report on the audience engagement statistics.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage Legal Agenda’s social media platforms, publishing Legal Agenda’s content, and ensuring the right knowledge reaches defined audiences. Monitor and evaluate outcomes using analytics and other reporting tools regularly.
  • Meticulously maintain Legal Agenda’s website in Arabic and English, making sure the website is regularly updated and content is published optimally. Monitor the effectiveness of the user experience via analytics and SEOs.
  • Coordinate the production, and post-production of online and offline multimedia communication and advocacy materials in collaboration with Legal Agenda’s team and external consultants.
  • Facilitate the development of a publishing calendar.
  • Maintain Legal Agenda’s visual assets database.
  • Draft and edit text for use as communication material such as captions on social media and the Legal Agenda’s newsletter.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, advertising, public relations, or related field.

Work Experience

Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in the field of communications in a reputable organization, ideally within a media, public or nonprofit institution.

Languages

Fluent in Arabic and English, spoken and written.
