Communication Intern

Danmission is looking for a motivated intern (paid) to support our team in Beirut with a particular focus on Communication. The intern will be able to develop new skill sets and get hands on experience in various aspects of Danmission’s communication, outreach and dialogue work.

Danmission is a 200-year-old independent faith-based organization affiliated with the Danish National Church. Danmission works in several countries in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East through partnerships with religious institutions, civil society organizations, international organizations, academia, and private sector. The programmatic work focuses on three overarching themes rooted in the vision of sustainable existence and peaceful coexistence.

Danmission has been present in the Middle East for more than 100 years and today works in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt.  

Responsibilities:

• Assist in various communication task, incl. content creation, social media management, writing articles and develop communication materials.
• Development and maintenance of Danmission’s online Dialogue Toolbox platform
• General support to Danmission’s Communication Officer and the rest of the MENA team 

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of university studies in journalism, graphic design, advertising or a related field.
• Proficiency in office management software and design software such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with fluency in English and in Arabic.
• Eagerness to learn and attention to detail.

Terms and Compensation

The internship is meant for students or recent graduates who have completed their studies less than 2 years ago. Danmission will compensate the intern depending on the agreed hours of work per week. Expected working hours between 15-37 hours/week for a period of 3 – 6 months (with the possibility of further extension).
