Background
ACTED is an International Non-Governmental Organization registered in France with global operations in Central and South Asia, Europe, Middle-East and Africa. ACTED has been active in Lebanon since 2006 operating mainly in the North and Beirut and Mount Lebanon governorates of Lebanon. ACTED has been implementing WASH, Livelihoods, Shelter and waste management community projects across Lebanon.
Functions
The Finance Intern shall be responsible for:
- Assist the Cash and Finance Officer on preparation of payments, filing the vouchers physically and digitally
- Assist the Cash and Finance Officer on the preparation and review of the Cash for Work payments
- Help the Cash and Finance Officer to do payment follow-up, in link with Logistic department and using and updating our internal tools.
- Assure a good communication between the support departments (logistics, finance, compliance, coordination) and manage the papers and follow up on missing signatures between them.
- Liaise with the different stakeholders (suppliers, Acted colleagues) in order to collect missing documents or signatures.
- Review of documentation compliance with rules and regulations defined by both the donors, and the public rules and regulations in Lebanon.
- Scan all financial documents after review and archive vouchers physically and digitally on the ACTED server
- Support the Finance Officer and Finance Team in checking on financial reports and documentation, specifically from partners (international NGO, local NGO, CSOs,)
- Update of analytical tools for our monthly reporting to HQ in Paris (BFU, ATROCE, Allocation Tables …)
