The construction supervisor will be required to:
WASH Activities:
- Take part in the distribution and/or installation of WASH items, namely water tanks or others;
- Identify the needs for latrines, toilets, bathrooms or water supply system rehabilitation or construction, specify the work to be performed, partake in the Contractor selection process and supervise the work to ensure that Akkarouna’S standards are respected and that the construction works is completed on time
Reporting
- Report activities to the WASH & Shelter Project Manager;
- Report the construction progress to higher management and update the relevant formats and databases for the construction activities;
- Report any type of problems encountered on the field
- Comply with Akkarouna’s policies and practices with respect to child protection, code of conduct, Child Safeguarding Policy, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.
Experience and technical competencies required: (include years of experience)
- University degree in Architecture, Civil or Mechanical Engineering. Strong experience may substitute for formal education.
- Problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to assess challenges and recommend solutions
- Proven experience managing several sites simultaneously
- Previous Experience in conducting surveys
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in overseeing site works
- Previous experience with NGO is an asset, preferably in emergency response
- Most be able to drive and have a driver Licence
