Content Development Consultant (print and video) - DAWERR Project

Context & Background  

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.  

This position will support the projects ran by Berytech to support entrepreneurs under the DAWERR Activity, a 5-year Activity funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with the goal to establish sustainable and replicable integrated solid waste diversion and valorization solutions in rural areas of Lebanon. 

Scope of work 

The DAWERR Activity team seeks a Content Development Consultant (print and video) (we are targeting independent consultants only) to deliver on the following scope:

• Take part in identifying the right outline and angle for each editorial article or video to best serve the needs of the activity, while maintaining a regular contact with the freelance writers to guide them through their interviews and while they develop the editorials.

 Expected Deliverables  

Key Deliverables: 

• Agree on an editorial calendar on a monthly basis with the Berytech Communication department to edit and overview the process of creating and refining the 12 articles and 3 videos to be produced
• Distribute the 12 articles and 3 videos on a monthly basis among 2-3 freelance writers and one videographer
• Set weekly calls with the freelance writers and videographer to follow up on the editorial/videos production
• Edit the 12 editorial articles and the scripts of the 3 videos before their publication
• Proofread and copyright the 12 editorial articles
• Finalize main visuals for each article/video with graphic designer

Qualifications  

• A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field
• Proven work experience as a consultant editor, Copywriter or similar role
• Strong English editorial, proofreading, and writing skills
