Videographer – DAWERR Activity

Context & Background  

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.  

This position will support the projects ran by Berytech under DAWERR Activity to plan, film, and edit video content for the DAWERR Activity, a 5-year Activity funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with the goal to establish sustainable and replicable integrated solid waste diversion and valorization solutions in rural areas of Lebanon. 

 

Scope of work 

The DAWERR Activity team seeks a videographer (we are targeting independent consultants only) to:

  • Conduct site visits, in coordination with the Berytech team, interview, film and edit 3 videos

The period of performance (POP) is May 2022, to September 2022. The level of effort (LOE) over the POP is not to exceed 20 days 

When producing all types of videos, the videographer shall:

    1. Use his/her own HD quality video camera, accessories (lenses, tripod, neck mic, LED light…) and professional editing software
    2. Edit the footage in line with the script provided by Berytech and following USAID’s branding policy
    3. Record and edit narration / voiceover where needed
    4. Embed sub-titles (Arabic /English) in the video as needed
    5. Audio balance the final product and convert it into formats for use on social media, web

Berytech team will provide the specifications for each assignment including a pre-defined list of places, locations, people to be interviewed and activity details.

 

 Expected Deliverables  

Key Deliverables: 

  • Filming a total of 3 videos inside and outside Beirut, including all necessary equipment and team
  • Photography for documentation inside and outside Beirut, including all necessary equipment and team
  • Basic 2D animation or motion graphic applied to a video edit
  • Photo editing and color retouching
  • Livestreaming to social media, Zoom, MS Teams, Youtube or TV Broadcast Equipment and team
  • Post production editing, color grading, music, subtitling, text on screen
  • Voice Over recording studio and talent
  • Music and Sound design

 

Qualifications  

 A Minimum of five (5) years’ documented work experience in the area of film/documentary/publicity/animated infographic/awareness raising videos writing, producing, directing and editing.

  • Access to highest quality filming, light, sound and editing equipment.
  • Excellent coordination and teamwork skills.
  • Experience working on USAID-funded projects would be an added advantage.
