OJECTIVE
The Education Officer is responsible for the smooth implementation of the education project and activities. Ensures community mobilization and resource management, and provides support, team management and capacity building.
DUTIES
- Supervise and evaluate activities on the field
- Contribute in preparing relevant documents (including brochures, information notes, information board updates) for target communities
- Organize and conduct the community group meetings: OV’s (outreach volunteers); Education Community Liaisons (ECLs) meetings and trainings on a monthly basis in collaboration with the project team and UNHCR
- Monitor tasks and referrals of the education team and/or OV’s /ECL’s
- Participate in the planning of the education activities including focus groups, awareness sessions, trainings, and others
- Providing timely and detailed reporting of project activities
- Participate in coordination meetings with national and international institutions and education working group where appropriate; Collaborate with partners and other agencies when required
- Compile and analyze the outcome of the project monitoring and evaluation data
- Contribute to establishing and implementing operational work plans, setting clear targets and activity plans for ongoing project
- Facilitate the implementation of the project (particularly /community-based and formal education) under the supervision of the project coordinator
- Contribute in ongoing field assessments and data collection as required
- Ensure quality implementation of project through regular visits to the field
- Ensure that data is accurately collected on a daily/weekly and monthly basis
- Monitor the execution of projects on the field and support staff in completing the assigned tasks
- Monthly/weekly Reporting to the project coordinator
- Receive and accompany donors during field visits

ACADEMIC EDUCATION
- Bachelor Degree in Education, Social Work, Sociology, Social Sciences and any related field
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
- 3 to 6 years of experience preferably in Management/Community Mobilization
- Experience with NGOs working with Refugees and education programs
