GBV Program Support Assistant

Background: The Gender Based Violence prevention and response program is designed to increase safety, empowerment, support and opportunities for women and girls affected by crises. The program’s priority is to strengthen core services for survivors of GBV, particularly GBV case management and psychosocial support services, as well as to increase access to quality healthcare. The GBV program’s services are delivered through women and girls’ safe spaces (WGSS) that serve as hubs for vulnerable women and girls to receive and share information, build social networks, learn new skills, improve their psycho-social wellbeing, and seek help and linkages to other services. The GBV program also focuses on prevention, where community work is carried out with women, men, girls and boys to raise awareness on GBV risks as well as to work on shifting perceptions and behaviors related to gender inequality and the violence associated with it. IMC Lebanon also focuses on systems strengthening and capacity building.

Job Purpose: Responsible for providing administrative, Logistical, and financial follow up support in order to ensure effective and efficient operations of GBV program centrally and on field level.

Main Reponsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and financial support to the GBV program to ensure that department operations are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner;
  • Issue Requests of Cash Advances based on the field needs and activities;
  • Collect and prepare Cash Advance Clearance Backups at the end of the month from the team and submit to Finance Department;
  • Issue Procurement Requisitions based on the fields demands and the planned procurements;
  • Prepare consultants and volunteers payments;
  • Provide HR with all needed documents and data for new volunteers and staff;
  • Offer logistical support during training /coaching events including venue booking, arrangements, and handout/material preparation;
  • Prepare and follow up the inventory of the GBV program material;
  • Maintain an efficient office filing system and management of general office correspondences;
  • Other duties assigned by the GBV Senior Program Support Officer and GBV Coordinator or any other persons designated by them.

Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline.

Essential Experience: A minimum of one year administrative experience

Desirable Experience: Experience working in and understanding of the non-profit sector

Essential Competency:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills.
  • Emotional maturity and agility in working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer literacy with demonstrated experience in utilization of Microsoft Offices.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English languages
