Bchetfine Park Manager

I. INTRODUCTION

The Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI) is a Lebanese NGO registered at the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities under no. 1186 on 18 June 2014 that aims to expand, manage, and protect Lebanon’s forests and landscapes through a community-based approach. We work on building resilient communities to environmental threats, increasing environmental awareness and education, advocating for forest conservation, and advancing research in the forestry field. LRI is currently managing several environmental, eco-tourism and educational projects among which a park aiming to implement sustainable tourism activities in Bchetfine and the surrounding areas.

II. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

LRI seeks a full-time Park Manager for Bchetfine Park to manage the park activities and facilities. The Park Manager will coordinate the activities and administrative work in Bchetfine in compliance with LRI policies and procedures.  

The Park Manager is expected to perform the following duties:

• Manage the bungalows maintenance and hygiene.
• Manage the reservations of the bungalows.
• Manage the activities and food kiosks.
• Manage the social media platforms.
• Customize packages for the activities and events.
• Coordinate with the municipality and the local handcraft makers.
• Manage and ensure the activities safety’ (climbing, hiking, and caving activities).

III. Expected Deliverables 

The manager is expected to report to LRI Director on a regular basis. Reporting would include a monthly report on activities and a monthly financial report as well as weekly financial reporting to LRI finance team. The manager is also expected to provide a quarterly plan of activities and a monthly social media calendar.

IV. Requirements 

• 3-5 years of experience in hospitality, tourism, or related fields.
• Local, from Bchetfine or the surrounding area.
• Fluent in English and Arabic. French is a plus.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
