M&E officer

Job Responsibility:

  1. Establish, Follow-up and strengthen the project Monitoring and Evaluation plan
  2. Develop and update M&E tools
  3. Regularly update AND’s M &E system, and Activity Info portal
  4. Provide technical assistance to the teams on data collection
  5. Coordinate M&E data collection and analysis with the teams and PM;
  6. Maintain project documentation from the field;
  7. Advise management about issues affecting project implementation, or key local issues affecting future project developments;
  8. Coordinate with the PM on local-level activities in support of the project, including seminars, trainings and conferences;
  9. Plan and conduct review meetings with each one of the team and future project participants with set agenda and outputs
  10. Facilitate, organize and support project activities including research, capacity building, awareness raising, training and regular partner/project monitoring;
  11. Report project concerns/questions/requests/challenges in a responsive and timely manner;
  12. Create a feedback mechanism from the communities within the project’s activities
  13. Identify needs and gaps in activities and community outreach and suggest solutions and methodologies to overcome project challenges;
  14. Occasionally represent AND at project milestone events together with the PM and or Program Director;
  15. Participate in appropriate meetings with other implementing NGOs/ Government agencies and institutions;
  16. Take part in regular team meetings, program and staff meetings; and potentially trainings/workshops
  17. Participate in information sharing and transferring skills and knowledge to other AND team members when appropriate.
  18. Support in AND’s activities when needed;

    2. Demonstrated strength in partner relationships; skilled in influencing and obtaining cooperation of individuals not under supervisory control; diplomatic and able to manage conflicts and to move groups toward consensus;
    3. Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision.
    4. Able to prioritize work, multi-task, and meet deadlines.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of three years in the M&E field/sector work experience.
  2. Excellent writing and communication skills in both English and Arabic languages;
  3. Strong cross-cultural skills and experience working with people from different ethnic/cultural backgrounds;
  4. Demonstration experience in planning, organization, resources management, and mediation
  5. Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
  6. Proven ability to develop proposals and write reports meeting donor requirements;
  7. Must be able to work independently and represent AND;
  8. Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel).

Reporting

The M&E Officer shall report to the program director.
