Information Technology Officer - Beirut

The Opportunity

The IT Officer will be mainly responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring users get maximum benefits from them. The tasks vary depending on the size and structure of the organization, but may include installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring of all end user and core devices in the organization. This also includes the responsibility of planning, designing and implementing new network structures and models.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

• Bachelor degree in information technology, computer science or any other related field.
• Two to three years of experience in IT support.
• Expertise in Microsoft system management: managing servers, implementing and installing new servers and services.
• Linux Operating systems setup and management
• Cloud Computing (Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine and AWS)
• Network Security Management: Ensuring a full time management and control of the network and data under SCI network in terms of virus, intrusion and attack protection.
• Advanced experience in monitoring and control systems: Implementing a fully connected CCTV and lock control system all over the offices.
• Advanced experience in data management: creating data schemes, applying access distribution, maintaining data, and protecting in terms of backups.
• Advanced skills in system migration: capabilities and skills in migrating all the environment to new standards.
• Experience with Microsoft software like Exchange, Active Directory, and Server platforms.
• Skills in Network Management: Subnet-ing, Distribution, Routing, Nat-ting, Etc.
• Medium skill with Firewall and UTM Devices. (Web Filtering, Web Publishing, Intrusion prevention, etc).
• Advanced Skills with Web Application: SharePoint, OneNet, ODK, ETC.
• Experience and/or knowledge of various networking systems concepts including email, firewall, client servers, network security, network protocols, etc.
• MSCA Certified: Windows Server Management W2016.
• ITIL Certification, PMP or equivalent are also an advantage.
• Demonstrate creativity and good design skills for different publications.
• Be able to communicate clearly and precisely, both orally and in writing.
• Work as a team member and to promote a positive work environment.
• Technical writing experience for reporting and case evaluation.
• Apple product knowledge (Mac OSX, iPad, iPhone) email, network, printer, file share configuration. IOS installation.
• Ability to adhere to ethical considerations and principles with regard to work with vulnerable populations
• Commitment to Save the Children values and Child Safeguarding
