Digital Media Officer

Basmeh & Zeitooneh is a registered Lebanese organization, committed to serving refugees and vulnerable communities in Lebanon, through four community centers across the country. The organization runs educational, relief, livelihoods, and protection programs, and aims to serve as an inclusive and supportive focal point for the entire community.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to work and coordinate with a widespread team across different countries
• Create and publish social media content across several platforms, in line with B&Z communication strategy and plans
• Write impactful content for different social media platforms and blogs that reflects B&Z’s tone of voice and style
• Maintain a quarterly calendar of international events and public holidays that corresponds to the relevant causes or occasions
• Coordinate directly with the in-house graphic designer on all required online visual materials
• Coordinate and support the field communication officer as required
• Produce monthly reports on progress across social media channels including audience growth and reach
• Co-create and implement marketing plans for online fundraising campaigns
• Support the communication team in writing press releases, success stories, and newsletters in both Arabic and English
• Reply to requests and inquiries about the organization and its scope of work.
• Assist in updating and continuously improving social media and communication strategies
• Perform other tasks under the communication unit as required

Skills and qualifications

• BA in Communications, Marketing, and PR, Digital Media, or relevant field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Excellent writing skills in both Arabic and English
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build a rapport with a wide variety of people
• Basic photo editing and design skills
• Excellent understanding of the digital space and tools (Social media insights and audiences, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, website admin tools)
• Organized and can deliver work within timelines
• Can work independently as well as within a team
• Experience in the humanitarian field is a plus
