Logistics and Procurement Officer

ARCS is co-implementing a 3-pillar intervention in Baalbek-Hermel that places youth-based social cohesion mechanisms at the centre of the initiative, in strong connection with protection and livelihoods components. The intervention aims at reducing social tensions and expanding protection spaces for target communities by adopting a comprehensive approach which focuses both on engaging youth as actors of social change in the displacement-affected communities and on improving local stakeholders’ capacity to build networks and respond to community challenges.

In the framework of this project, ARCS is looking for a Logistics and Procurement Officer.

S/he will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Organize and implement the procurement procedures within the purpose of the project (elaboration of BoQs and any other tender supporting document);
• Supervise the logistical aspects of procurements and deliveries;
• Support the administration in the collection and organization of all supporting documents related to the projects expenditures;
• Guarantee a proper archiving of the procurement documents;
• Assist in the preparation and the submission of the interim and the final financial and narrative reports to the donor agency;
• Back in translation of project documentations for ARCS Project Manager;
• Keep project inventory updated;
• Any other duties related to the nature of the job and within the framework of the project;

Requirements

• Excellent organizational and communication skills;
• Ability to work under pressure and to handle several tasks at the same time;
• Ability to work and as a team member and, independently whenever required;
• Relevant experience / technical work in the logistics and procurement tasks with NGOs;
• Familiarity with procurement policies and documentations;
• Good Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Google platform);
• Strong commitment to ARCS values (ARCS Code of Ethics);
• Bachelor degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience in similar positions;
• Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic languages, both oral and written;
• Position based in Beirut;
• Field visits to Baalbeck-Hermel required based on project’s needs;
• Valid Driving License.
