The agricultural engineer will work closely with BASATINE Team of Engineers, he/she should be able to:
Conduct field visits to different sites (Beqaa)
Participate to the TOTs
Train farmers according to the TOTs (IPM and GAP principles, composting, etc)
Assist farmers in conserving the biodiversity and implementing techniques that conserve soil and water.
Assist with R&D
Take part in developing and administering training material.
Provide recommendations on potential crops for different plots
Take part in designing and monitoring demonstration plots in the mentioned areas

Experience:
Advanced experience in any of agriculture field.
Good understanding of Lebanese’s agricultural production sector (structure, strengths and challenges) with a focus on small-to-medium farm holders.
Demonstrate good technical skills.
Ability to undertake needs analysis and good record keeping skills.
Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
Knowledge:
Implementing agricultural programs is an advantage
Implementing of developed skills of training programs is a plus
Ability to work in a sensitive environment, varied work styles and diverse team.
Desirable:
Aware of the socio-economic circumstances in Lebanon.
Aware of the main economic sector, business environments, and common practices according international guidelines in Lebanon.
Working conditions
