ABOUT NAFDA

nafda is a citizen-powered movement, which aims to spark change in the education system by empowering schools to lead bottom-up transformative change. We are on a mission to empower school leaders, educators, and other key education actors to implement and cement innovative participatory approaches to education.

We envision an equitable and inclusive student-centered education system that builds the engaged citizens of tomorrow, where schools have more autonomy to implement participatory local solutions that improve the school and impact its direct community.

Nafda is working with 20 schools to build a movement of change. Our projection for the future is to have 100 new schools in 2023 and 1000 by 2025. Job Overview

Scale is a key component at nafda. 20 Nafda schools are currently working on their 100-day projects. They are documenting their experiences with the support of coordinators and coalition partners. The plan is that the documentation of these projects, transformed by the KMO, will help the next batch of 100 schools to learn and scale these transformative projects and experiences in their schools. This entails transforming all accumulated knowledge and data from tacit to explicit, explicit to organized, organized to sharable and shareable to evolving.

The KMO has two main overarching goals that should be accomplished by December 2022. The first one is to ensure at least 30 100-day projects are documented in a clear way so that the next 100 schools can learn from the pioneering schools’ experience and scale the projects. The documentation will be shared with the schools through an LMS that is currently under development. The second role is to design/ organize 6-8 courses based on created available knowledge on the aforementioned LMS. Examples of these courses are: about nafda, nafda core values, school leadership and management ect..

Nafda’s KMO ensures everyone in the nafda movement (team, enablers, schools, and coalition partners) has the information they need related to the LMS. The KMO owns the ongoing governance of a knowledge base, including its overall health and best practices by designing the content on nafda’s LMS overall structure. The KMO takes all the schools’ documentation and presents it in a well-designed manner.
