Background of the project
The purpose for this consultancy is to develop a cultural induction presentation and executive summary designed for IRC staff, Service Providers, Visitors, and Staff on Temporary Assignments to introduce them to the geographical, demographic, and cultural resources in-country so that they can learn more about the place they are visiting, thereby facilitating their visit and movement.
IRC operated at 4 offices and 5 centers
Offices: Beirut – Achrafiyeh (Head Office), North – Tripoli, Akkar – Qobeyah, Bekaa - Zahleh
Centers: Akkar – Deir Dalloum, Akkar – Wadi Khaled, Bekaa – Irsal, Bekaa – Qaa, Mount Lebanon - Mkalles
Scope of work
- The consultant is expected to collect cultural, demographic, and general information related to Lebanon in general and the implementations areas where IRC operates (Offices and Centers).
- Develop an executive summary and a presentation to reflect on the findings.
Deliverables:
- Develop an executive summary on the findings.
- Develop a detailed presentation on the findings including: (2 pages per office/field)
- Brief introduction and demographic information on Lebanon.
- Photos that reflect the geography of the different fields (at least one photo per field location).
- Listing of Info per field, including:
Culture
History and important sites
Best known for
Economy
Recommendations before the visit
Industry and Agriculture
Populations
Distance and drivetime from Beirut and closest office
Note: Findings are expected to be shared as an inducing resource, accordingly, are to be framed positively with consideration to cultural sensitivities in the region and to IRC’s DEI initiatives.
Payment Rate and Schedule:
- Payment Rate: One-time payment at the completion of the deliverables.
- Duration: 2 weeks from the assignment start date.
Requirements:
- Ability to write a comprehensive report
- Proficiency in Power Point
- A background in History, Social Studies, Tourism, Media, or a similar field.
