JOB TITLE:  Human Resources Officer – Talent Acquisition

ABOUT ABAAD

ABAAD – Resource Centre for Gender Equality is a UN ECOSOC-accredited organization that aims to achieve gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region.

JOB PURPOSE:

Under the direct supervision of the Head of HR at ABAAD, the Talent Acquisition Officer will be providing direct support to the recruitment function within the HR Department. The position holder will be responsible to ensure the implementation of fair and transparent recruitment processes in both junior and senior positions all in accordance to ABAAD’s Recruitment policy.

REPORTING LINES: Head of Human Resources

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for all aspects of recruitment for junior and senior positions
  • Posting positions on job, university and social media platforms
  • Handling CV Screening and creating long lists of candidates to then sharing with hiring managers for Shortlisting
  • Headhunting candidates on online platforms
  • Scheduling Technical Tests and Interviews and reviewing corrected tests when required to ensure accurate corrections
  • Conducting interviews alongside other Hiring Managers
  • Assisting in writing and updating recruitment policies and procedures
  • Administering reference checks via emails and phone calls
  • Attending meetings pertaining to staffing and recruiting
  • Organizing recruitment files for auditing purposes 
  • Ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process is taking place
  • Coordinating recruitment needs and applicant selections with Heads of Units
  • Drafting TORs/Job Descriptions based on the needs of the project and the organization
  • Conducting exit interviews with employees and producing semi-annual reports to be shared with management
  • Drafting consultancy contracts in coordination with the Head of HR
  • Planning and implementing staff care days/activities
  • Conducting checkups and field visits to ABAAD centers
  • Providing support as needed in different functions of the department

 

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience relevant human resources/administrative position
  • Good understanding of the Lebanese Labor law
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in spoken and written Arabic, clear and concise reporting in English. Knowledge of French is a plus
  • Flexible pro-active attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure, as individual and in a team
  • Must be computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated capacity to innovate and think creatively
  • Efficient in meeting commitments, observing deadlines and achieving results
  • Calm in stressful situations
  • Identifies priority activities and assignments
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
