Project Coordinator

  • Responsible for planning, development and implementation of SAMS projects assigned by the Program Director/Country Representative.
  • Ensure reports and relevant documentations are up to standards and fulfill the technical requirements in accordance to donors’ requirements.
  • Work closely with the team to develop project strategies and work plans.
  • Manage relevant project budget and support finance team in ensuring expenditures are in accordance with the budget.    
  • Support project’s internal and external evaluation exercises, support with the designing of a monitoring and evaluation framework and participate in conducting periodic formative and summative evaluations of project.                                                                                                                                     
  • Assist in drafting project proposals or relevant fundraising activities.
  • Develop materials and conduct awareness raising and training sessions for different groups.
  • Supervise the work of implementing partners and following up on work plans.
  • Coordinate between different programs and projects to ensure proper collaboration and SAMS Lebanon projects are complimentary and in synergy.
  • Assist field teams in the identification and selection of partners with the view to support more strategic partnerships at SAMS.
  • Oversee and review all aspects of fieldwork on a daily basis, and monitoring the implementation process to ensure the achievement of project deliverables in terms of both

time and quality. 

  • Compile narrative and financial reports about the project’s progress with data base.
  • Represent the organization in the Health Working Group meetings at field and national level and the Protection Working Group at national level.
  • Carry out the implementation of initiatives and grantees and the development of proposals.
  • Participate in the development of policy brief, researches, advocacy materials and lessons learned.

 

Desired Education and Essential Skills

 

  • University degree in related field required such as Business management.
  • Three to four years of relevant work experience in project management - preferably with international NGOs and/or community-based organizations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including drafting project proposals and reports.
  • Ability to work in a professional and cordial manner with fellow staff members, visitors, partner institutions including international and local NGOs, governmental entities, support organizations, and the general public
  • A multi-tasker with strong ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility, creativity, and the ability to maintain a rapid and demanding pace of work
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and produce quality results on time with attention to detail.
  • Prior experience with health, mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), gender-based violence, and/or medical education programs is desired, but not required. 

 

Languages

  • Fluency written and spoken English and Arabic

 

 

Note, strong preference will be given to Lebanese and Lebanon-based applicants with existing authorization to work in Lebanon.

Note, this position requires travels to other areas in Lebanon where SAMS operates including the North, Bekaa, and the South.
