Field officer

Main tasks and responsibilities:

The Field officer is in charge for the follow up of the activities carried out in the private Schools and at community level.

The Field officer will be responsible to follow up on the activities on an average of 7 localities (Private schools).

 I- Reporting

-In coordination with the outreach team, defining the groups of eligible children that can be enrolled in the program.

-Collect data of all the information regarding the beneficiaries: (child registration, family assessment form and Pre/post tests and other information related to the project activities).

-Support the data entry volunteer in updating the database system and CLM with data and attendance.

- Coordinate directly with school directors for data collection related to students and their school performance.

-  Provide quality reporting for implemented awareness sessions and extracurricular activities.

II- Education Technical 

- Ensure that the program is carried out in compliance with MEHE and donor standards in private schools.

- Follow up regularly the activities in schools in order to ensure the quality of teaching and the well being of teachers and staff.

- Follow up on the work of school counselors at school level.

- Support the school staff in the planning and the implementation of regular extracurricular activities.

- Ensure and maintain positive and supportive communication and feedback with private school principals and staff.

- Ensure the inclusiveness of children with special needs in the educational classes.

III- Child Protection

- Respect the conditions of AVSI child protection policy on which they have been trained.

- Identify children with special needs and refer to the Inclusion officer

- Support the school counselor in the identification and referral of potential Child Protection abuse cases

-Identify caregivers to be engaged in the educational activities and plan for these activities with the filed coordinator.

- Conduct regular meetings and awareness sessions with caregivers in private schools

- With the support of school staff, conduct orientation sessions for caregivers at the beginning of the program and portfolio day at the end of the program and provide continuous communication and feedback for caregivers.

- Organize Ad-hoc sessions with caregivers as per the emergent needs of children and caregivers aiming to follow up on and respond to alarming behaviors.

IV-Others

- Participate in project staff training with other AVSI staff.

- Participate in teachers and school staff trainings.

- Perform other duties within areas of responsibility as requested by the supervisor.
