Technical Field Coordinator - Akkar and T5, North Lebanon

The Rene Moawad Foundation is seeking a Technical Field Coordinator in Akkar and T5, North Lebanon.

This position requires a highly motivated and competent individual committed to succeeding in delivering the tasks of the project. The role is focused on monitoring and supervising the day-to-day field operations of the project implementation.

• Lead project condition assessments and evaluations including identifying problems and proposing alternatives
• Examine feasibility of installation of solar energy systems
• Prepare the preliminary and conceptual design for the solarization of pumping stations, or PHCs
• Assist RMF in the tendering process through preparation of a Terms of Reference (TOR), Bill of Quantities (BOQ), needed specifications and drawings, selection and award criteria, and warranty and service requirements as well as through participation in technical evaluation of the offers
• Supervise installation, the testing and handing over of the solar systems that will be installed
• Check project specifications, data management, spreadsheets and databases, maps, drawings and other supporting documents (legal clearances and/or permits) when needed
• Build and maintain healthy relationships with local actors covered in the project (municipality and WE staff, Host communities, Refugees…)
• Standardize forms to be used for site inspection, design and meetings
• Provide technical expertise on the project’s operations related mainly to project activities
• Coordinate works with the local authorities, the targeted Municipalities and the North Lebanon Water Establishment
• Ensure the ability to implement flexible tasks

• 2 to 3 years of experience in fields related to solar energy
• Bachelor’s degree or post-graduate diploma in the following: Civil, Mechanical or Electrical engineering, preferable specialized in water, sanitation, renewable energy.
• Previous experience in design, planning, implementation and quality assurance.
• Ability to review and write reports.
