منح العمل المجتمعي من أجل المساءلة (CAfA)
The Lebanon Civic Action Accelerator Program (LEB-CAAP) is a United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded civil society strengthening program (2021-26) implemented by Family Health International (FHI 360). It will provide a combination of grants, technical assistance, and partnerships aimed at accelerating civil society activism to address Lebanon's compounded crises and advance long-term rights-based reforms.
Through the Community Action for Accountability Request for Applications (CAfA Grants), LEB-CAAP invites Lebanese community-based organizations (CBOs) and civil society organizations (CSOs) headquartered at the local level to propose initiatives that contribute to inclusive, transparent, and accountable local governance by driving civic activism for rights-based change through community-municipal engagement.
The purpose of CAfA grants is to support pilot initiatives and creative approaches that enable marginalized groups (youth, people with disabilities, women, elderly) to mobilize around community priorities; take forward their recommendations through issue-based campaigns to local authorities, candidates and community actors; promote civic engagement among first-time voters and marginalized groups; and engage local authorities in fostering community-municipal engagement and coordination platforms to contribute to more responsive and transparent governance at the local level.
LEB-CAAP anticipates awarding 24 grants up to $10K each to be implemented over a 12-month period. Successful grantees will be eligible to apply for Follow-On Grants up to $45K to continue their work through the end of 2025.
To learn more about the CAfA grants, please refer to the "Community Action for Accountability RFA" attached under Related Documents in this post.
LEB-CAAP will conduct four in-person solicitation workshops across Lebanon to be held per the schedule outlined below plus one online session for those who cannot attend in-person.
