Aasoun station provides water for 3 villages with around 490 household official registrations. This protected well is owned by NLWE (north Lebanon water establishment) and relying on EDL (Electricite Du Liban) and generator.
Water system consists of:
One protected borehole with submersible pump (55 HP, 280 m head and provides 33 m3/h), this pump is supplying water to a small tank (capacity 150 m3) where water is pumped to another bigger water tank (capacity 500 m3) through one out of two booster pumps (45 kw each and 210 m head providing 47 m3/h). water from this tank (500 m3) is distributed by gravity to the water networks and another water tank (300 m3) in BET JIDA also to be distributed by gravity.
