Research Officer

Under the guidance of the Project Manager (PM), the researcher shall provide research and write research reports in various fields related to good governance and rule of law. More specifically, he/she shall perform the following tasks:

  1.  Data collection on various topics related to rule of law and good governance; data collection may include desk research, interviews as well as field visits.
  2. Analyze Data and write research reports;
  3. Provide substantive assistance to the project Manager in the development of project document/proposal;
  4. Identify and apply for research grants/opportunities within ACRLI’s areas of work and communicate with international donors;
  5. Perform other related duties as needed by the organization

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. University degree in law, political sciences or related field
  2. Strong analytic and writing skills: proven ability to aggregate and synthesize research literature and extract key messages and arguments;
  3. A good understanding of writing project development;
  4. Previous experience with international organizations and donors;
  5. At least 2 years of research experience in rule of law reform projects.
  6. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  7. Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to work with teams.
  8. Fluency in English and Arabic.
  9. Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
