TRAINER FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATIVE TOOLS AND LEARNING METHODOLOGIES – GBV / SRH

Background

The protection from GBV project “Champions of Change”, implemented in collaboration with the Belgian Embassy in Lebanon, aims to reduce the various forms of gender-based violence in five safe spaces for girls & women through adopting a holistic intervention approach including provision of psychological, psychosocial support sessions and awareness-raising to the community members, adding to the development of innovative methodologies and initiatives involving local authorities in reducing GBV. The Content Creator of IEC Material contributes to the smooth implementation of activities for protection from gender-based violence.

The Trainer for the development of Innovative tools and Learning methodologies should develop and deliver comprehensive, sustainable, consistent and scalable tools and learning methodologies to be delivered to our SW, Facilitators and PSS workers  to create a rich learning experience for participants and a rewarding teaching experience for the staff.

Tasks and Duties

In close coordination with the GBV/SRH Coordinator, the Trainer for the development of Innovative tools and Learning methodologies will provide advice to conduct a training for human rights activists and educators on developing innovative tools to be used as response to and prevention of GVB, as well as developing a two-days agenda for participants to the training.

The Trainer for the development of Innovative tools and Learning methodologies will help in developing interactive, SMART, modern and creative tools and methodologies by suggesting activities and exercises taking into consideration the following:

  • Messages are aligned with national guidelines;
  • Messages address gaps in knowledge;
  • Messages address proper behaviors;
  • Messages are aligned with Humanitarian Core Principles;
  • Messages tackle GBV Core Principles ;
  • Messages convey ethical values ;
  • Information is shared in a proper, respectful way to all public’s sensitivities;
  • Creative and accessible information;
  • Training materials are adapted to the target population and its culture
